Mental Health Support for Parents and Children

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging time for many families. There are a number of options available to offer support to both children and parents.

In Gloucestershire there is a new tic+ service for children and young people. Tic+ is a new, anonymous, one to one drop-in service for children and young people aged 9 to 21 years. The new tic+ chat service, pronounced tic chat, is for young people who need someone to talk to. It is funded by Gloucestershire County Council, and is commissioned jointly with the Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group for the next 12 months.

No appointment is necessary, and the service can be accessed by calling 0300 303 8080, or via online text chat at the tic+ website between the hours of 17:00-21:00 Sunday to Thursday. Further details can be found on their website, along with support options for parents too:
