This week (18th – 24th January 2021) is cervical cancer prevention week. As with all cancers, it’s important for cervical cancer to be detected at an early stage, and ideally to prevent cancer occurring at all e.g. through the national cervical screening programme, HPV vaccination (if applicable), and lifestyle modification (such as smoking cessation).
At Sixways Clinic, we wish to highlight the programmes in place to reduce cervical cancer risk, and emphasise that our surgery is open to contact as usual either via phoning our reception and using eConsult on our website.
We have also added an additional Saturday clinic on Saturday 23rd January for cervical screening appointments. Please call the surgery on 01242 223 810 to book.
