If you are asked to provide a specimen, please bring it (in the sterile leak-proof container provided) to the surgery before 12 noon for onward dispatch to the laboratory. Do make sure the container is clearly labelled with your full name and date of birth. Please leave all samples in the box in reception.
Please do not drop of urine samples unless you have been asked to do so by a clinician.
Where possible we will try and send a text message to patients with a registered mobile number confirming the outcome of their results and any actions required. Please do ensure that we have your correct mobile number registered on our records.
You can also call for results on 01242 223 810, please try and avoid calling for results between 8.30-10.30am where possible.
Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if you are advised to do so.
Please note the time scale for results to be sent back to the surgery may vary depending on where the test was taken. Typical timescales are as follows:
